Intellectual Property
Successfully represented chemical company in action over ownership to patent rights involving non-toxic pesticides.
- Successfully represented an automotive product manufacturer against a national retail catalog company concerning patent and trademark rights.
- Successfully represented garden products company against a competitor concerning infringement of a national trademark.
Breach of Contract
Successfully represented seller of commercial vessel in breach of sales contract claim resulting of the recovery of the vessel plus $75,000 in additional damages and attorney’s fees.
- Successfully represented undergrown utility contractor in contractual dispute with boring contractor involving specific terms of contract.
- Successfully represented agricultural business owner in breach of contract action resulting in the recovery of all business assets.
- Successfully represented property owner on recovery of promissory note relating to sale of land.
- Successfully represented dust control and environmental reclamation contractor in a dispute concerning service contracts and subcontracts with a competitor involving work on Nevada gold mines.
- Successfully represented a regional residential property manager in claimed class action lawsuit involving property management contracts. Successfully precluded class designation and obtained Summary Judgment as to plaintiffs.

Trust Litigation
- Successfully represented trust beneficiary in action against another beneficiary who used undue influence on a grand tour of a grand tour trust to change the terms of the trust. Successfully obtained temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction regarding transfer of trust assets. Successfully obtained settlement of $2.1 million.
- Successfully represented beneficiary of estate of prominent law school dean against executor and trustee of trust concerning annual payments to beneficiary.
- Successfully obtained distribution of approximately $1 million in assets and income.
Complex Litigation
Successfully represented public gas utility in action against the city for changing construction standards during an 800,000 linear feet natural gas expansion project. Obtained settlement of federal litigation against the city in the amount of $30 million which was then approved by the California Public Utility Commission.
- Represented ESOP trustees before U.S. Department of Labor arising from claims of breach fiduciary responsibility. Company stock fell in price as a result of technical default on $1.5 billion in outstanding financing. Participated in advising trustees on holding stock and taking special positions to create upper movement on stock price which was further assisted by creating new credit facility. Stock price of publicly traded company went from $4.00 per share to $40.00 per share resulting in a termination of the Department of Labor investigation.
Commercial Insurance Coverage
- Successfully represented insurer in dispute over coverage concerning performance of air conditioning systems in an onion holding warehouse. Motion for Summary Judgment granted in favor of insurer in the Federal Court for the District of Nevada.
- Successfully represented insurer and dispute with a co-insurer concerning coverage terms relating to primary and excess coverage. Motion for Summary Judgement granted resulting in declaration that other carrier owed duty to defend.
